Laura BartelsWebinar: A Natural Approach to High Performance Energy Star Homes

The 2nd St. L.I.F.E. Project (Low Impact Future-proof Ecohouse) is a demonstration of compact, sustainable, affordable living on an infill lot in downtown Carbondale, Colorado. Through a widely collaborative design process involving local and national contributors, the project serves to educate the design community, building professionals and homeowners about approaches that maximize high performance, low cost, natural and low-embodied energy materials and techniques in a compact passive design reducing the carbon footprint, energy bill and mortgage.

This live webinar with Laura Bartels will focus on:
- Project Goals - Setting and balancing
- Deepening education in straw bale
- Energy Star elements and rating
- Low impact materials meeting low operating energy goals
- Natural building opportunities
- Real estate - marketing and selling straw bale
