Whether you are a professional in the burgeoning solar industry or interested in starting a solar career the upcoming Solar Power International conference in Orlando, Florida September 10-13 is the place to be. SPI ‘12 is North America’s largest, most comprehensive solar power conference and exposition. The first of its kind in North America, SPI ‘12 is the premier business-to-business event designed to serve and advance the solar energy industry and related fields. Interact with more than 21,000 professionals representing 125+ countries.  Companies with a reputation to establish or maintain in the solar industry know SPI ’12 is the must attend event of the year.

At this year’s conference Solar Energy International (SEI) is excited to be participating on many levels with a full team of our best and brightest technical PV staff and instructors. For starters SEI will have a booth, #1782 right in the middle of all the action on the show floor.  Come and check us out as we will be launching the first book in the Solar Energy International Textbook Series, Solar Electric Handbook: Photovoltaic Fundamentals and Applications. Printed in full color with high resolution photos of real-world PV applications, informational graphs, and interviews with professionals throughout the industry, this textbook sets a new standard for renewable energy training programs all over the U.S. and internationally.

Prior to the conference SEI will be teaching a series of one-day and two-day pre-conference workshops including Technical Overview of Grid-Direct PV Systems, Operations and Maintenance of Large PV systems, Commercial and Utility Scale PV Design, Fundamentals of Battery-based PV, and a workshop presented in Spanish; Diseno e Instalacion de Sistemas Fotovoltaicos. To learn more about these exciting pre-conference workshops visit the SPI website to review the conference program.

A new and exciting opportunity SEI will be participating in at this year’s conference is a partnership with SPI and the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) to provide free technical training for installers, salespeople and other solar energy professionals during the SPI ’12 conference. As the industry continues to evolve, it is imperative that people working in the field stay up to date on changes. These short (60-90 minute), informative sessions will take place in the exhibit hall, Booth 1008. The trainings, with topics ranging from beginner to advanced, will be taught by SEI and NABCEP’s experienced instructors. View the PV Technical Training Schedule
