Many professions require periodic continuing education and training to stay certified or licensed. Solar Energy International's Continuing Education Series of courses serve solar and renewable energy professionals, electricians, roofers, inspectors, plumbers, architects, K-12 educators and more. Many of these courses are qualified for Continuing Education credits from NABCEP and other professional certification and state licensing authorities. These short duration courses are available for you to enroll in a course and start right away.

New CE course just announced!

CE506: Code-compliant Conductor Sizing for Grid-direct PV Systems
National Electric Code 2011

Nov. 16, 2011, 12-3 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST)

Professionals from many different industries need further training and continuing education (CE) to maintain their certifications and stay up-to-date with the most current technologies in solar and renewable energy topics. More and more, industries are allowing for training in renewable energy topic areas to satisfy CE requirements. From solar and renewable energy professionals to electricians to roofers and architects, the Solar Energy International On-Demand Continuing Education Series offers a relevant, cost effective, and flexible means to get this needed training.

The newest addition to this series is CE506: Code-compliant Conductor Sizing for Grid-direct PV Systems, a three-hour live webinar Nov. 16, 2011, at 12 p.m. This session qualifies for three hours toward North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) re-certification in the Code category. If you can't make the live session the recording will be available through the SEI Online Campus.  In either live or recorded format, you will have 30 day access to the session to view the presentation and be able to print out an SEI Record of Completion for proof of training.

CE506: Code-compliant Conductor Sizing for Grid-direct PV Systems
Nov. 16, 2011, 12-3 p.m. PST

PV system conductors operate in extreme environments - fortunately the 2011 NEC brought much needed clarity to wire sizing for PV systems. This course is an in-depth look at the step-by-step process to meet ampacity and voltage drop requirements for all circuits in grid-direct PV systems. The step-by-step process walks through all the requirements to design 2011 NEC compliant systems. This process applies to all circuits in grid-direct PV systems, regardless of size. Developed in conjunction with industry experts and extensively peer reviewed, SEI's wire sizing methodology takes the mystery out! Full coverage of all NEC Article 310 and 690 conductor and overcurrent device sizing.
