This non-electronic instrument is ready-to-use and includes: an online manual, 20 Sunpath Diagrams (latitude & application specific), angle estimator (for determining altitude and azimuth), white marking pen, a rugged carrying case and a tripod.

The radiation environment of streams is of major ecological importance because it controls stream thermal regime and light availability for photosynthesis. Therefore, methods are needed for measuring stream shade in practical riparian management. Methods are also needed for predicting future light exposure for forestry and turf grass physiology (golf course management). The Solar Pathfinder and Assistant Software allow industry experts to gather the shading information data needed to determine the effects of environmental stresses and provide the quality adjustments to best suit their environment.

Solar Pathfinder Software: PV, Base and Solar Thermal Assist Software ($229.00)

Any scientific analysis requires accurate input and careful calculations. The Solar Pathfinder and Assistant provide mathematical precision for accurate shading assessment (solar site analysis) by eliminating gross errors in structure orientation, solar system sizing, and PV/collector placement. The Solar Pathfinder Assistant software dovetails local weather data (using NREL/WMO) and site-specific shade analysis in a customizable report. Originally furnished for the ecological and photovoltaic applications, the Assistant software now services the growing thermal technologies.

Regardless of the industry being serviced, the software identifies the shading patterns and total potential energy produced at any given site.
