AEE Solar is excited to hold its 4th Annual AEE Solar Dealer Conference, Feb. 16-19, 2011, in Phoenix, Arizona, at the same venue as its first three highly successful events.

The exhibit hall, meals, social events, dealer classes and workshops all provide excellent opportunities for getting the information and inspiration you need to grow your solar business.

AEE's first three conferences were extremely well received by dealer attendees and exhibiting suppliers alike. Unlike the big industry trade shows, at the AEE Solar Dealer Conference, you get one-on-one and small group time with representatives and executives of the the industry's top suppliers - not to mention all the valuable exchanges with your colleagues, fellow solar dealers, designers, and installers.

If you have attended previously, you know the Annual AEE Solar Dealer Conference is one of the top solar industry events of the year.

The 7th Annual Small Wind Conference is the premier event for small wind-electric system designers and installers, and for those involved in sales, specification, management, funding, and permitting of small wind systems. More than 300 small wind professionals and industry representatives from across the United States and nine countries attended the 2009 conference, a key opportunity for open and honest dialogue, networking and education within the industry. Each year the MREA Energy Fair transforms rural Central Wisconsin into the global hot spot for renewable energy education. The Energy Fair brings 20,000 people from nearly every state in the U.S. and several countries around the world to learn, connect with others and ready them for action at home. The Energy Fair is the nation's longest running energy education event of its kind.

Energy Fair Receives Travel Green Certification

The Energy Fair has been certified as a green tourist event by Travel Green Wisconsin. Travel Green Wisconsin is a pilot program the Wisconsin Department of Tourism sponsors to recognize tourism-related businesses that are reducing their environmental impact through operational and other improvements. To gain Travel Green certification businesses have to meet several goals including showing how they encourage staff and vendors to be environmentally aware and how they reduce their solid waste generation and energy consumption.

The Energy Fair was recognized for the following best practices:

• All food is served on reusable or biodegradable plates and food waste is composted
• Shower house for guests is heated by solar water heating system
• Carpooling is encouraged through rideshare page on website
• Organic, local, and fair trade products are purchased

SolarDay is a national and international day of recognition of solar energy, energy independence, sustainability and protection of the planet. SolarDay 2011 takes place Saturday, June 18. SolarDay.com is also a solar energy and green lifestyles portal. SolarDay 2011 was the largest solar awareness program in U.S. history.

History

SolarDay was founded in 2009 and has grown into a worldwide event celebrated yearly on a weekend day before the Summer Equinox - the longest day of the year. SolarDay 2009 included a solar thermal tour hosted by the City of San Francisco and media coverage of this day in recognition of the role of solar in California and the U.S.

Balance traditional skills with new technology in your quest for sustainable living at the fourteenth annual SolWest Renewable Energy Fair July 27-29, 2012 in John Day, OR. Learn how to hand-craft buildings and food systems, provide your own energy, and have a bountiful life requiring fewer resources. Rendezvous with Electric car clubs as they vow to again make "John Day or Bust." Admission includes over 50 free workshops, and exhibitors will show you tools for energy independence and lifestyle self-reliance, including solar, wind and agricultural resources. Cost is $5 per adult per day, with weekend, youth, and family discounts, volunteers and children under 12 free. Camping available on-site (free for volunteers).
