Fall Online Courses - Log on to your solar future!

SEI's most popular hands-on workshops are available online!

·Photovoltaic (PV) Design Online
·Solar Home Design Online

SEI recognizes the need for an educational experience that students can participate in at any time, from any Internet connection anywhere in the world. These six-week-long, self-paced online courses compliment each other, yet can be taken individually as well. SEI's online trainers take pride in providing thoughtful individual attention.

"I must commend SEI for the quality of its material and presentation. You have done an exemplary job. Congratulations! These courses may be the first point of contact for many people interested in 'green' technologies. It speaks to your own commitment and professionalism. Thanks!" - Russ Wilson, 2003 Solar Home Design Online participant

National Tour of Solar Homes

The American Solar Energy Society (ASES), along with their chapter, state and local tour organizers, are holding the eighth annual National Solar Tour on Saturday, October 4, 2003.

October is "Energy Awareness Month" and increasing awareness is exactly what ASES does. The National Solar Tour provides educational and experiential opportunities that teach people how to use solar, and other forms of renewable energy, in every aspect of their daily life.

World's First Renwable Energy Mitigation Fund

In 2000, Aspen, Colorado, Pitkin County, and Aspen's Community Office of Resource Efficiency launchd the Renewable Energy Mitigation Program (REMP). Designed to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency, REMP is the first program of its kind in the world.

The Aspen and Pitkin County building codes require new homes to meet a strict energy budget. Homeowners who wish to consume additional energy can install a renewable energy system or pay a renewable energy mitigation fee instead.

By requiring new homes to mitigate their environmental impacts, REMP has raised $1.9 million for energy efficiency and renewable projects. For more info on REMP click here.
