Daniel Gonzalez

Spanish Program Director

Daniel González is an SEI alumni, a former PV installer and the only Chilean living in Colorado's western slope (from what he knows). Raised in Chile's southern coast, he moved to the US in the mid 80's and graduated with a degree in environmental science and biology. Before becoming Spanish Program Director at SEI, Daniel worked as Executive Director of several foundations and non-profits in Chile and the US, which gave him the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary teams working in the development of some of Latin America's largest privately funded national parks and conservation areas. Daniel brings years of experience in project development and management to his new role at SEI. He is a strong advocate for renewable energy, both in terms of technology and its overall impact in helping developing countries reach energy sustainability and access to electricity for all. Daniel is fluent in english and spanish, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and meeting people from all walks of life while traveling to different countries as SEI Spanish Program Director. In his own words "Solar Energy International has an important role to play in creating a well trained PV Solar workforce in Spanish speaking countries".
