RD103: Renewable Energy and Nature Tour of Costa Rica

The territory of Costa Rica is very diverse, hosting mountains, lowland temperate rainforest, tropical rainforest, arid regions, and two oceanic shores. Costa Rica leads the world in renewable energy generation, with 99% of all its electrical energy generated from clean sources. Through tours, discussion, and visits with local residents and renewable energy users, participants will see first hand how Costa Rica has met its energy needs with renewable technologies.
