RE101: Teaching Solar Energy to Kids

Educators attending this one-day summer workshop will learn about the impacts that our energy use has on the planet and how to best teach youth about solutions:  energy conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy technologies. The workshop provides an overview of hands-on elements that can be employed in the classroom. Integrating renewable energy education into the classroom provides STEM education, excitement and hope for the future.

Teaching Environments Naturally (TEN) Field Teacher Workshop

This is a high-energy, intensive three-day workshop for teachers, homeschool parents, scout leaders,  and other educators preK-12th grade for Southwest Colorado Educators only.  Participants will visit numerous Delta County field sites and engage in hands-on learning activities designed to meet academic standards while building appreciation for local natural resources. Educators in Delta, Montrose, Ouray, and Gunnison eligible for school bus grants.
