Susy Ellison

Susy Ellison is a science teacher at Yampah Mountain High School in Glenwood Springs, CO. In her 10 years there, she has developed programming in sustainable building and energy education. Students in her classes designed and built a strawbale classroom that included a 1kW grid-tied PV system. Students at the school are currently involved in a project to design and install a 4kW grid-tied PV system as well as working to decrease energy use at school. Prior to teaching high school she taught 5th grade in Carbondale, Colorado and developed and taught environmental education for schools throughout the Roaring Fork Valley.
