Biodiesel Fuel

Register now!

Learn the fundamentals of this alternative fuel source that can be used in any diesel engine. For industrial producers as well as grassroots brewers, the workshop will examine the emerging world biodiesel markets.

Participants will make biodiesel fuel with locally available materials, visit existing small scale production plants, and learn from top biodiesel industry specialists.

Recomended Reading: Biodiesel Power by Lyle Estill of Piedmont Biofuels. This book chronicles the story of Piedmont Biofuels. It covers the passion, people and politics of the biodiesel movement, and will inspire everyone from the homebrewer to the industrial producer of biodiesel. The SEI Biodiesel Workshop will tour both of Piedmont's facilities, and this book will give the particpant an intimate knowledge of the hard work (and the good humor) it took to get to where Piedmont Biofuels is today.

The entire workshop was a delight. It was great knowing that there are other like-minded, wonderfully eclectic citiznes of this planet who understand the urgency of the development of alternative fuels as expeditiuosly as possible. I look forward to many future projects in concert with SEI.
