Co-Sponsors: Piedmont Biofuels and the Central Carolina Community College are co-sponsoring this workshop in their home, Chatham County in North Carolina.

Classroom Location
The classroom portion of the workshop will be held at Central Carolina Community College in Pittsboro, North Carolina. The address is:
764 West St. Pittsboro, NC 27312.

The class will be held in the multipurpose room in the small business building. (bldg 2)

Registration for the workshop begins at 8:30 am on Monday, October 2nd, 2006. Class will run from approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (or 5:30 pm)on Monday through Friday.If possible, we advise making your departure travel arrangements for no earlier than Sunday morning.

These five days will include a combination of lectures, hands-on labs, guest speakers, and system tours. Each day we will break for an hour around noon for lunch. You are welcome to bring your own lunch to eat at the college.

4. Merge onto NC-54 W via EXIT 273A toward CHAPEL HILL. 3.1 miles
5. Merge onto US-15 S / US-501 S / S FORDHAM BLVD toward CARRBORO / PITTSBORO. 2.0 miles
6. Take the US-15 S / US-501 S / NC-86 N ramp toward CHAPEL HILL / PITTSBORO. 0.3 miles
7. Turn LEFT onto NC-86 / S COLUMBIA ST / US-15 / US-501. Continue to follow US-15 S / US-501 S. 15.4 miles
8. Enter next roundabout and take 1st exit onto US-64 BR / WEST ST. 0.7 miles

Transportation
From Raleigh-Durham International airport, taxi transportation to Pittsboro is available for roughly $50-$60.

The Chatham Transit Network may be able to provide affordable transportation around town during the workshop.

Cars can be rented from numerous carriers at the airport.

Local Restaraunts
Within five minutes of the college is a good selection of local restaurants. Check out Chatham Marketplace, Pittsboro's new co-operatively owned grocery store and deli. The General Store café, located at the town circle on Hwy 64W, is a popular choice as well. Elizabeth's Pizzeria and Italian Restaurant is just north of town on 15/501. Further exploration can lead you to Subway, the Pitt Stop Café, and San Felipe's Mexican restaurant.

What to Bring
The weather in the fall of North Carolina has the potential to still hot and humid. Evenings are very pleasant and maybe cooler. Bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, work gloves, a jacket, and a water bottle. Work shoes with covered toes are recommended.
