Saphire first came to Costa Rica in 2011 to immerse herself in the Spanish language and culture through study abroad. She was a Junior at the University of Kansas at the time. She made the move back to Costa Rica in 2012 after graduating a proud Jayhawk, and throughout the years has worked with individuals and groups of students during their studies in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Peru, Nicaragua and the United States. She is excited about bringing this passion to SEI as a Student Services Counselor, to ensure that students get the most from the courses and experience they are pursuing. In her free time, she officiates soccer matches, and enjoys the wildlife, mountains and the beaches of Costa Rica.
