Expanding the reach of clean energy education in the U.S. and globally through our Spanish Program.

This year, SEI proudly trained over 1,675 Spanish-speaking students and launched three new courses in Spanish, including “Introduction to O&M for Large Scale Systems”, designed to meet the growing demand for O&M technicians. This course will equip Spanish-speaking professionals with essential skills for better job opportunities both locally and internationally, while fostering safe practices in Latin American businesses.

To maintain our position as a leading provider of industry-focused solar education, the Spanish Program has renewed and expanded partnerships with solar and professional associations in Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, and Colombia. Beyond individual learners, 46 businesses from the US and Latin America have turned to SEI’s spanish training programs this year to enhance their teams’ expertise. Our curriculum licensing program, in partnership with Bosque Modelo of Puerto Rico, continues to empower women in rural areas, providing pathways to new job opportunities and economic independence.

Our mission is to make solar training accessible to a broader audience by developing curriculum in native languages and securing funding for all communities. Additionally, we awarded 36 scholarships worth over $27,000 to Spanish speaking students from 12 countries, reinforcing our commitment to making solar education more inclusive and accessible.
