At Solar Energy International, we train the global solar energy workforce. We empower students, alumni, and partners to expand a widespread, well-trained and educated renewable energy field, with the aim to promote sustainable economic growth and support energy independence.

A central tenant of our mission is to offer global access to well-paying and satisfying careers in renewable industries. SEI Empowerment Programs offer scholarships, student counseling, targeted networking and connections to job opportunities for those from all backgrounds and circumstances, so that anyone and everyone can begin or expand a career in solar energy.

SEI’s scholarship and Empowerment Program efforts include continuous outreach to communities across the country and the world to ensure broad access to and adoption of solar energy training. We prioritize job fairness and help all individuals address any personal barriers to accessing the training needed to change their lives and launch their careers. SEI has developed Skillbridge programs for Veterans and transitioning military members, partners with Tribal governments and utilities, provides contract trainings to rural workforce development organizations, municipalities, nonprofits and community groups and has full course pathways and in-person training in both English and Spanish.
