OUR PARTNERS
Independent Electrical Contractors – Rocky Mountain
Solar Energy International (SEI) and Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain (IECRM) have established a pre-apprenticeship plus agreement that creates a direct pathway from SEI’s solar training into IECRM’s four-year Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
Through this partnership, students who complete specific SEI courses, and pass IECRM’s verification exam, may be eligible to apply certain training hours toward classroom training requirements for the first year of IECRM’s four-year Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
Students interested in being considered for the IECRM Electrical Apprenticeship Program will need to submit their SEI transcript for review. After reviewing your transcript, IECRM will notify you whether you’re eligible to take their required verification exam and will share the next steps in their admissions process.Successful completion of the exam is required for the transfer of coursework.

Cam Solar Training
Solar Energy International (SEI) and CAM Solar have partnered to create a direct pre-apprenticeship pathway designed to launch your career in the renewable energy industry. By completing SEI’s introductory and NEC code-specific courses, you gain foundational electrical knowledge and hands-on exposure that counts toward Cam Services’ formal apprenticeship programs. This collaboration ensures you meet Colorado’s SB-165 licensure requirements while aligning your technical skills with a high-growth career in the state’s clean energy workforce.

City of Fort Collins
The City of Fort Collins supports SEI’s Pre-Apprenticeship Plus Pathway through scholarship for Fort Collins residents.

WHO IS THIS PATHWAY FOR?

- Career changers looking for a stable, hands-on profession in a growing industry.
- Underemployed or unemployed individuals seeking marketable skills in just a few months.
- Veterans and workers from service industries ready to transition into skilled trades.
- Environmentally-minded individuals eager to work in clean energy.
No matter your background, our pre-apprenticeship plus pathway gives you real-world skills, support, and a clear next step into a well-paying, meaningful career.
WHY START HERE?
Our Pre-apprenticeship Plus pathway allows students to explore the electrical trades through a Solar Electrical / Photovoltaic specific training experience before committing to a four-year apprenticeship.
SEI students can gain foundational electrical knowledge and hands-on experience that helps them determine if electrical work aligns with their interests, aptitudes, and overall long term career goals. This approach will increase apprenticeship completion rates and supports long-term career success.
Please keep in mind that completing recommended SEI courses does not guarantee acceptance into a partner electrical apprenticeship program. Each partner apprenticeship program sets its own testing and entrance requirements and makes all admission decisions.
