Steve McCarney has a 40+ year career in solar energy applications and has been deeply involved in supporting vaccine cold chain activities starting in 1985. Since 2004 he has contributed to WHO PQS efforts and was employed with Project Optimize, then as s Director of Cold Chain Solutions for the Solar Electric Light Fund (SELF). In 2019 he founded Sunny Day LLC to provide ongoing technical support to foster cold chain improvements and solar energy projects in public health.
