I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. Following high school, I enlisted in the Marine Corps and served from 2005 to 2009. During that time I deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. After returning home, I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Elmhurst College. In the years following my service it was really difficult to get anything going that I felt good about, and that is what led me to solar.
In 2016, I arrived in Paonia for classes at SEI. Using the GI Bill, I earned SEI’s grid-tied and battery-based professional certificates, and left feeling confident and motivated to create a career for myself in the solar industry. Since then, I have worked primarily as a lead installer and project manager, primarily focusing on residential grid-tied and off-grid systems in Western Colorado. In 2019 I earned my NABCEP Installation Professional Certification. Currently, I am working as an independent contractor providing installation, design and consultation services.
Outside of work I enjoy exploring the mountains of Western Colorado, riding my bike, reading historical fiction and watching NFL football.
