Dear SEI Students, Alumni, and Supporters,

So it’s Wednesday, November, 9th – the day after yesterday – the day after the election. Regardless of how you voted, it feels like a profound shift has happened.

SEI is re-committing ourselves as a non-profit educational organization to continue our passionate work we do each and every day working in support of our mission. SEI’s mission of providing renewable energy training to empower people, businesses and communities around the world transcends politics.  Our mission focuses on improving the lives of our fellow humans through energy equality, jobs, and energy independence.

The meaningful work we do as an organization that includes the work of our 50,000+ global network of students and alumni helps combat climate change, which will not go away even if some elected politicians do not believe it exists. Regardless of who won the election, renewable energy has the power to change lives for the better. We have the power to create the world that we envision.

As an organization, SEI commits to:

  • Ensuring that each person who connects with us has the opportunity for renewable energy training and education. SEI will at least double our scholarship fund to $50,000 in 2017 to ensure that people from around the world have access to our industry-leading technical training and expertise.
  • Treating each of our students and one another with respect and kindness and honoring their knowledge and experiences
  • Providing industry-leading PV technical training and expertise for our alumni and students

We are all in this together.  If you share our vision – please take this moment to support our non-profit mission.  Click here: https://www.solarenergy.org/donate
