Happy Holidays from SEI! We are extremely grateful for the continued effort from all SEI students around the globe who are empowering their communities with renewable energy. Each solar project deployed into the world brings us closer and closer to accomplishing the vision of a world powered by renewable energy. Cheers to a 100% renewable future and let’s work together in 2020 to make it the biggest solar energy year EVER!

Here are the top 5 ways you can support SEI and solar energy for the holidays and New Year!

Option #1: Support SEI’s Non-Profit Mission with an End of Year Donation!
Know someone who is hard to shop for and cares about the future of our planet? Gift them #climateaction! Your donation in their name helps us develop a global solar energy workforce with in-depth training that is fighting climate change, one solar system at a time. www.solarenergy.org/donate

Option #3: Escape the Cold Weather this Winter
with a Tropical Solar Training Vacation!
Don’t let the cold stop you from furthering your solar education – put classroom theory into practice with this five-day lab class that offers students the opportunity to work closely with experienced PV professionals and get their hands dirty by fully installing and commissioning a wide variety of system types before testing the system, then de-commissioning and breaking down.

You will work with modules, inverters, and racking components from a wide range of manufacturers that are all big players in the PV industry, all in a temperate environment. A low student-to-instructor ratio and the world-class lab facility at SEI’s Costa Rica location offers the perfect backdrop for your first hands-on PV experience. In the News

In rural Colorado, the kids of coal miners learn to install solar panels

SEI is proud to work with high school teacher Ben Graves to train the sons and daughters of coal miners in our own backyard! Together, through SEI’s Solar in Schools program, we create opportunities for students to become solar professionals directly after high school. Using our industry recognized curriculum, we partner with high schools to deliver our PV101 curriculum. HS teachers teach SEI curriculum to students, where they learn PV fundamentals in real time with hands-on labs and experiences.

Thank you, High Country News, for sharing our story. You can support the next generation of solar professionals by visiting solarenergy.org/donate today.
