SH202 - Inspecting Solar Heating Systems in New York State is a full day, in-person course geared towards code officials in New York and is approved by the Department of State, Division of Building Standards and Codes for six (6) CEU's.  This course also counts as 6 training hours towards the NABCEP Solar Heating Installer Certification Exam, or 6 'JTA' or 'Appropriate Code' hours towards NABCEP Solar Heating Installer Recertification.

Course participants will review and discuss code requirements and industry standards for solar water heating (SWH) systems. Content of the course will include an overview of SWH systems; industry certifications and standards for design and installation; local code requirements related to SWH systems; and procedures for inspecting SWH installations. 

Registration for this course will also give participants access to an additional three (3) CEU credit course, SHOL203 - Virtual Inspection of Solar Heating Systems - Online, which guides students through the components and processes of a working solar thermal system.
