The Solar Jobs report is HERE – what it means for YOU! |
|
The Solar Foundation just released their 10th annual National Solar Jobs Census. One important thing to take note of is that in the five-year period between 2014 and 2019, solar employment increased 44% — BUT 26% of all solar employers and 33% of solar installers/project developers said it was “very difficult” to hire qualified employees in 2019. While employment continues to climb, the need for a skilled workforce is in high demand. Make sure that your resume includes in-depth, technical training that can meet these demands and propel your solar career forward. |

We would like to give special thanks to our engineering department staff. This mighty team is currently designing multiple utility scale solar projects totaling over 93 megawatts! Our project managers and design engineers closely track the needs of all stakeholders to ensure an efficiently executed high quality design.
We typically make multiple milestone deliveries of draft plan sets to our clients during the design process before delivering the final issued for construction (IFC) set. Not one of these plan sets leave our office without passing through our internal quality assurance review process! We offer electrical, civil, and structural engineering services along with complete design project management in a growing list of states. Be sure to contact us to see if we can help with your next project! VISIT NOW

New Additions to the SEI Team
|
|
Alejandro Mora
PV Curriculum Developer
Alejandro is an SEI alumnus with almost 10 years of experience in installation and commissioning of telecom equipment. He studied Electronic Engineering at the Technological Institute of Costa Rica but eventually decided to change to a more environmentally conscious industry. In 2014, Alejandro completed a master’s degree in Renewable Energies where he first learned about solar energy. Soon after, he started pursuing SEI ́s Battery-Based Photovoltaic Systems Certificate, where he did a work-trade to help him complete the program. After finishing the certificate program, he joined the SEI PV Curriculum Development team. Alejandro is very interested in intentional and sustainable communities in rural areas, believing solar energy to be a big part of the development of these types of agroecological households and settlements. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outside with his family, cooking and sports in general. |

Christie Cantrell
Student Services Assistant
Christie is excited to have rejoined the SEI staff to provide a variety of shipping services from the Paonia headquarters, plus process Student Records of Completion and SPCP Certificates. Colorado has been her home for the past 40 years and she has just enjoyed installation of her 10.2kWp Grid-Tied PV system in 2018…long awaited and much appreciated! |
