Paonia, CO., October 11, 2022 –  Solar Energy International (SEI) announced today a new scholarship that empowers women from all over the world with solar energy training and professional development through the SEI Women in Solar Power program. The program aims to further bolster the growing network of women who are pursuing career pathways in the solar energy sector and support solar professionals actively working in the industry with career progression.

The scholarship provides an award of $50,000 to cover tuition costs, travel expenses, lodging and daily per diem to hand-selected women and non-binary individuals, awarded by SunPower (NASDAQ: SPWR), a leading residential solar and energy services company. The initiative is part of SunPower’s 25×25 diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) commitments aimed at providing families, job-seekers, and businesses that have been historically marginalized increased access to the many benefits of solar and energy storage.
