Solar Installation and Project Development is still a male-dominated sector of the solar industry, with just 27.8% of workers identifying as female. But through your support, SEI is changing that narrative by offering life-changing trainings and resources to women entering the solar workforce. Not only are we narrowing the gender gap and shifting the statistics, but we are empowering women to take a leap of faith in their careers.

She discovered our training and, after receiving a scholarship, traveled to our training facility in Colorado from Brazil to participate in our Women’s Lab Week along with 30 other students from around the globe.
Women in Solar Power is about more than just careers – we are creating a community where the financial, situational, and emotional barriers to entering the solar workforce are being removed. By offering trainings, creating networks, and awarding critical scholarships, more women are accessing SEI’s programs and emerging from our workshops with competitive skills to enter the workforce along with a huge support team to encourage their success.
Our goal in 2023 is to double the amount of women trained! This year, 250 women graduated from our courses and workshops, and next year, we want to have 500+ women complete our trainings, making up 20% of our student body.
