Many of SEI’s local staff, board members, instructors, students, and friends recently came together to celebrate Ken Gardner’s outstanding contributions to SEI over the years. Gardner, a long-time instructor, board member and previous board president, has made a significant impact on the organization. To acknowledge his valuable support, SEI has named its new tech center after him. His dedication to SEI and its students will always be remembered and appreciated.
The evening event was a joyous occasion, kicking off with a few short speeches recognizing Ken’s contributions followed by the unveiling of SEI’s new tech center. Afterwards a low-key celebration included catered local food and drinks, with many shared stories circulating, both funny and heartwarming about Ken’s impact on SEI and the broader community.
We thank Ken for all he has done, and for his commitment to helping us make SEI the great organization it is today. The night served as a reminder of the importance of community, and how collective action can help create change in our lives —an important lesson that Ken has taught all of us. We are so thankful for his many contributions to SEI and wish him all the best.
